Eric Mizrachi, the fraternal twin brother of Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and younger brother of Robert Mizrachi, is the first of his brothers to be interviewed. Eric is a good friend of mine, and I am one of his biggest fans as well. Eric has been cashing left and right in big tournaments, but has yet to hit the big payday like his brothers Michael and Robert. Look for Eric on a TV final table near you in the future! Check back in the future for the next two installments in the Mizrachi brother trio of interviews!

Q: You’re undoubtedly the least-recognized Mizrachi, but only because you’ve yet to have your big day in a poker tournament, which is undoubtedly going to come soon. What is your own personal goal for the next twelve months in the poker world, just to get that big final table appearance?
A: My own personal goal for the next twelve months in the poker world would have to be keep trying and trying to get to a final table and of course take it down, if not then to just keep trying more until I succeed. I also am trying to get to know all the pros out there and try to gather some information for tournament times.
Q: You’ve had a lot of success with online poker and are very connected with the community. What players do you have the toughest time competing against online?
A: The type of players that I have the toughest time competing against online are the super aggressive players or just the total donkeys that have no clue what there doing.
Q: Which is tougher for you, playing against a large field in an online tournament, or against a similar sized event in a live tournament?
A: I would have to say playing against a large field in an online tournament is tougher for me because the fact that I have to overcome so many beats and dodge lots of bullets.
Q: Besides your brothers, who else has had a big influence on your development as a poker player? A: Besides my brothers I would have to say my mother has a big influence on developing my poker game. My mother always supported me and would show me the ins and outs of different games.
Q: When you’re not at the poker table, what do you like to do for fun when you’re out on the road during a tournament?
A: When am I ever not on a poker table? (laughs) I love to go to the beach for fun, I like to make a nice barbecue, go out to some clubs in South Beach and just party!
Q: Of all the casinos and poker rooms you’ve been to, which one do you look forward to visiting the most?
A: I have been to many casinos and poker rooms all over the world and I usually look forward to visiting the Bellagio the most.
Q: Which would you rather see next: yourself winning a major event, or one of your brothers (I asked each of your brothers this question, just so you know)?
A: Interesting question, I would have to say seeing myself winning a major event just because the fact that they each have won a main event each. Good job guys!
