Poker is life. That's why sometimes work takes a back seat to final tables.
I apologize for the lack of updates throughout the week. Things are changing this week for the better with this site, as I will make sure content gets added more than just once a week. I will have online tournament updates this weekend as promised (unlike last week, where I promised and didn't follow it up).
PokerTrails is growing and by this summer, we will be a whole new place for you to visit. We plan on expanding and growing for the 2006 World Series of Poker. Our coverage should be even better with more staff members working for you.
I added an article from Brett Chen and Jeff Henry, in addition to an article I wrote. I also wanted to address one thing with you the reader before you start checking out Jeff and Brett's articles.
Many of you frequent PocketFives.com and are familiar with the situation Brett wrote about last week. Recently, a prominent member of the online poker community was outted for having multiple accounts on Party Poker. A witchhunt has ensued, with Paty Poker having confiscated over $180,000 in winnings from said player. Others have had their accounts locked, as it has been discovered that this player was also under the age of 18.
Another prominent member on PocketFives admitted on his own to having his Party accounts (used for the same purpose as the other player--multiple entries into single tournaments), and they have been shut down as well. Others are being contacted about the situation.
We at PokerTrails aren't going to dive into the specifics, but rest assured that we are strongly against this practice. We will not condone it, nor will we support anyone who admits to having committed this act of cheating. We urge anyone who has any information about such cheaters to report them ASAP to the online poker room they are playing on. Our community isn't going to police itself, so we all need to help out and make it a better place!
